Encaustic Painting by Donna Christley

A former member of WRSW, Donna states"My presentation will be a very personal account of my journey through the fiber arts which culminated with creating felted wearable art. After an accident that resulted in no longer being able to do the physical process of felting I began searching for a new creative outlet. I found it in encaustic painting which is the process of using pigments mixed with heated beeswax to create art. Encaustics opened endless possibilities and allowed me to incorporate techniques I had learned as a fiber artist. I will share those techniques with examples of my art."
