October 2026 Guild Meeting

Please mark Tuesday October 27 on your calendars as our monthly meeting and ELECTION NIGHT. We are fortunate to have excellent candidates for the officer positions of President and Secretary. We are also extremely fortunate to have Sharon Baird willing to stay on as Vice President and Suzanne Paquin continue as Treasurer.

- For President, Terra Young has agreed to be considered. From Terra:
"The love of learning is exactly why this guild means so much to me. It feels like a community of creativity and collaboration all twisted together just like the fibers we work with. I’ve grown so much because I’m surrounded by people who are wildly talented — true masters of their crafts and endlessly willing to teach and share. Being part of this guild is sheer joy. It’s a place where people understand why wool matters, and where every one of us helps the others become better artists."

- For Secretary, Debbie Tuma has agreed to be considered. From Debbie:
"I have been a member of WRSW Guild since 2023. I enjoy weaving, spinning, felting, embroidery and counted cross stitch. I have now retired after 46 1/2 years of employment at University Hospitals...and was in charge of Site Planning & Support, standardization of medical equipment/supplies, logistics, planning of new Medical Office Buildings and physician offices with detail on design for the specific specialties for 16 counties. I am looking forward to meeting more members of WRSW and learning more about weaving, spinning and the fiber arts."

Thank you,
The Nominating Committee
